We are the Scottish charity for older people. We stand with and support people in Scotland so they can grow older with security, are valued and connected and have a good quality of life.
We provide a free helpline and information service, support older people’s groups, promote age and dementia-friendly communities, host national forums for older people from ethnic minorities and the LGBTQ+ community, deliver workshops and wellbeing programmes, and campaign on behalf of older people.

Helpline
Our helpline is a free, confidential phone service for older people, their carers and families in Scotland.

Friendship Services
Our friendship services include weekly Friendship Calls and Community Connecting, a service that aims to reduce social isolation by connecting older people with groups and services in their local area.

Community Groups
We work with a vibrant network of community member groups and organisations who provide activities, services and support for older people across Scotland.

Dementia
We offer a range of services for people who want to increase their awareness of dementia and how to support people living with it, understanding and realising your rights as a carer, and getting involved in shaping policy and campaigns.

Health and Wellbeing
Age Scotland offers publications, resources, and training to help boost older people’s health and wellbeing, with a focus on simple and practical measures that older people can take to age better.

Older Ex-Armed Forces
If you have served one day or more with HM Armed Forces, as a Regular, Reservist, National Serviceman or Merchant Mariner, extra opportunities and support may be available to you in later life.

Workplace Training
We partner with organisations and researchers to identify barriers to age inclusion and create strategies for successful intergenerational workplaces
