Helpline
Our helpline is a free, confidential phone service for older people, their carers and families in Scotland.
As we get older, we can face new challenges and opportunities. You may need to know about rights, organisations and services that are unfamiliar to you.
Our skilled advisers provide information and advice on a range of topics from money matters and benefits entitlements, to social care, housing, energy and legal issues. We also provide friendship for when you just need a chat.
Our free confidential helpline is available to answer your calls, Monday to Friday, 9 am- 1 pm. During the afternoons, our advisers are busy supporting clients with benefit checks and other enquiries.
At Age Scotland, we believe everyone should feel welcome, heard, and included. If English isn't your first language, we can support you. The Age Scotland helpline is supported by Language Line Solutions to translate conversations. Get in touch with us to find out more.

What can I contact the helpline about?
You’re the first person to talk sense about this. I wish I’d called you first. I’m keeping a note of your number and I’ll always call Age Scotland first in the future.
