Dementia Friendly Communities Capacity Building

The Dementia Friendly Communities Network is a growing network of Scottish dementia friendly communities sharing support, empowerment and inspiration with people living with dementia and unpaid carers, in their own community.

As part of our work with the network, we have created a new suite of workshops.

You don’t need to be a member to take part – if you have an interest in the topics, please feel free to sign up and learn more.

The workshops we are offering include:

• Becoming an effective Dementia Friendly Community
• Planning and running dementia inclusive activities
• An introduction to Young Onset Dementia

The Dementia Training team at Age Scotland have developed a new suite of workshops aimed at members of the Dementia Friendly Communities Network. This is a network of Scottish dementia friendly communities sharing support, empowerment and inspiration with people living with dementia and unpaid carers, in their own community. You are welcome to join these workshops as an individual or as a member of group/community organisation (even if you’re not yet a member of the Dementia Friendly Communities Network).
