London Marathon 2026

Take on the challenge of a lifetime and run for Age Scotland in the world's most prestigious running event.

Broadcast live on the BBC and in over 180 countries across the world, the London Marathon offers an electric atmosphere with supportive spectators lining the entire route, you'll be motivated and inspired. Be part of the world's most popular running event and run for Age Scotland in 2026!

When: Sunday 26^th April 2026 

Registration fee: £79.99* (applicable only once a place has been offered)

Minimum sponsorship: £3,000

*You will have two weeks to pay your registration fee, from the date your offer is made. 

Apply for an Age Scotland place

We are excited to have one charity place to offer at the TCS London Marathon 2026. 

Your application will be reviewed by a panel from our fundraising team before we choose our runner for 2026.

Applications close on Monday 18^th August at midday.

The successful runner will be notified by Monday 1^st September.

Why run for Age Scotland?

Many older people in Scotland are lonely, are financially insecure, live in inadequate housing and in fuel poverty. They have poor access to the health and social care support they need and don’t feel valued by society. Take part in the London marathon and fundraise for Age Scotland to help us change this!

Whether you already have your own place, or you’d like to apply for our charity place in the TCS London marathon 2026, you can help us support Scotland's older people.

Got your own ballot place?

Congratulations! If you're lucky enough to get a ballot place and you want to fundraise for Age Scotland, you can still be part of our team and receive all our support and materials, but with no minimum fundraising target. Contact fundraising@agescotland.org.uk to find out more.

As one of our runners, we will support you every step of the way and help you cross the finish line. You will receive:

• Access to a WhatsApp community with other Age Scotland runners

• Post event invitation to meet the Age Scotland team in Edinburgh when you return
