Arctic Trek
A Winter Challenge for Age Scotland
The Arctic Trek is one of Breaking Strain’s most demanding and rewarding challenges. Taking place in northern Finland, this expedition sees participants trek for three days deep inside the Arctic Circle, pulling their own kit in a pulk, camping on snow, and operating in extreme winter conditions.
This is a true Arctic challenge. It is cold, physically demanding, and mentally tough. It is also consistently described by participants as the best challenge they have ever taken on.
When: 20 - 25 January 2027
Registration fee: £2750
Fundraising goal: £2500
Who: 18+
Where: Rovaniemi, Finland
Why Trek for Age Scotland?
Across Scotland, over 100,000 people over 65 experience chronic loneliness. That's an average of one older person on every street across Scotland.
By helping us raise funds, you are allowing us to make more Friendship Calls and support older people through our Helpline with benefit entitlements, housing. and free Will writing services.
