Lindsays legal services
None of us can see the future. But we can help you plan for it.
Both Age Scotland and Scottish law firm Lindsays pride themselves on providing important information, advice, and services that can offer you and your family greater peace of mind whilst you plan for your future.
One of the most common requests for support from Age Scotland is receiving advice on a Power of Attorney. Age Scotland provides several guides on this, and to support you further, we have partnered with Lindsays, who can help you create a Power of Attorney with the added benefit of supporting Age Scotland.
For every Power of Attorney created, Lindsays will return 10% of the fees paid back to Age Scotland. So you can provide for your own future while supporting the work of our charity.
It’s never too soon in life to make a Power of Attorney, and you certainly don’t have to wait until your health is declining. By being clear about who should take care of your money, care, family and other decisions if you lose capacity, you’re helping to reduce future stress or disagreements. That means greater confidence and reassurance not just for yourself but for others as well.

Help with your Power of Attorney
A Power of Attorney (or PoA) is a legal document giving someone permission to manage your finances and/or welfare when you can no longer do it yourself. This could be a spouse, family member, friend, or someone else you trust to make decisions about your care, savings, property, and other issues.
Lindsays’ practical, approachable lawyers help individuals and couples across Scotland to make their own PoAs – always keeping the process as simple and jargon-free as possible. As well as discussing key issues such as who to appoint as your attorney and the different powers you’ll give them, Lindsays will take you through all the steps of drafting and registering the document in Scotland.
Lindsays can also support you with other legal services, including Wills, inheritance tax advice, and trusts. And if you already have a Power of Attorney and Will in place, they’ll be happy to help you update them.
