Plan for the future this Free Wills Month

Free Wills month

3 October 2025

October is free Wills month, and Age Scotland is pleased to offer two free Will writing services to help you plan for the future.

Through our partnerships with MyIntent by Bequeathed and Thomas Bradley & Co, you can choose the option that best suits your needs, whether you prefer the convenience of online access or the reassurance of speaking to someone directly.

At Age Scotland, we understand how difficult it can be when someone passes away without a Will. It can leave families facing uncertainty and added stress during an emotional time. That’s why we are committed to making Will writing more accessible for everyone, so you can take this important step with peace of mind.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who chooses to leave a gift to Age Scotland in their Will. These generous legacies play a vital role in helping us plan ahead and ensure we can continue to be a lifeline for older people across Scotland, today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.

Why write a Will?

Writing a Will is essential to ensure your wishes are honoured, protect your loved ones, and avoid legal complications after your death. Writing a will can provide emotional relief, knowing that your affairs are in order and your loved ones will be taken care of according to your wishes. Many people feel a sense of weight lifted once they complete this important task.

Having a Will gives you control over your estate, ensures loved ones are taken care of financially, helps avoids family disputes and simplifies the probate process.
