Training for paid staff and volunteers
We offer regular free training courses to paid staff and volunteers who support older people in Scotland.
Our training offer is currently:
- Supporting older people to age well: You'll explore simple and practical ways you can encourage and support better ageing. 3-hours. Available in-person only.
- Fun Active Games Leader training: This training will enable you to use Age Scotland's multi-media strength and balance games for groups: Body Boosting Bingo and Power Quiz. 2.5 hours. Available in-person and online.
In addition to our open course, we are happy to discuss free bespoke training for organisations that can identify ten or more trainees. Please email healthandwellbeing@agescotland.org.uk.

Fun Active Games Leader Training
This free, interactive, online training will equip you to run Age Scotland's fun active games for older people to develop strength and balance, in your group settings. The games include the 2024 edition of Body Boosting Bingo and Power Quiz.
Supporting Older People to Age Well
This workshop aims to boost your ability to support your members and service users to age well. Topics covered include physical activity, social connection, food and drink, emotional wellbeing and keeping the brain healthy.
